I, Gebhart Blazek, am a specialist dealer and independent researcher in the field of vintage Moroccan carpets and textiles, and have worked in this field since 1996.
Since 1992, I have spent more than 24 months on field research projects in North Africa and am a regular contributor to international conferences and specialized publications. I also work as a consultant for museums, auction houses, business platforms, private collectors, designers and architects.
My gallery focuses on working with private and institutional collectors, as well as interior decorators looking for exceptional objects. I provide consulting for larger projects such as stores, hotels and representative public buildings, and have extensive experience with worldwide shipping.

The gallery is situated next to the University of Music and Dramatic Arts, a five-minute walk from the historic city center, right outside the central park surrounding the inner city. It was renovated in summer 2006 and opened its doors in October 2006.
The gallery offers 300 square meters (ca. 3000 square feet) of exhibition space dedicated to the appreciation of textile arts, with a focus on Moroccan Berber carpets and textiles of historic importance and great artistic merit. Nomadic rugs from other origins such as Anatolia, Central Asia, Uzbekistan, Iran/Persia or Tibet, as well as modernist European carpets and rya rugs from Sweden, Finland or other Scandinavian countries, complete a broad and carefully selected range.
The gallery regularly presents high-quality vintage Berber carpets and textiles from Morocco and North Africa, nomadic weavings and felts from Central Asia and Anatolia, and tribal textiles from Africa, alternating with special exhibitions focusing on specific topics in this field.
